Arches National Park collapse – BUMMER!!!
Arches National Park had a terrible loss today. Based in Southern Utah, the Wall Arch, one of the main icons of the park, collapse due to forces of nature. At some point in time gravity and erosion take over. And it happened today.
Wall Arch was huge! It stood 33 feet tall and spanned 71 feet wide. It was in the TOP 12 of the park’s 2,000+ arches in size. Rock is still falling in areas around the arch and that has forced portions of the trail to close.
I am a huge fan of Arches National Park, so I thought I’d throw out this information.
Let’s just hope the remaining 11+ beauties stay up for years to come.

That’s a tough blow. Arches is such an amazing park. At least the delicate arch is still standing proud.
