3 strikes and you’re out! 3 “inside” stories of China Olympic Games in 2008….

Strike 3! You\'re OUT!

Strike 3! You're OUT!

China, without question, has become a “Major Player” in the world of politics, economics and now, with the Olympics, sport. Thanks to the International Olympic Committee, for 17 days China earned the right to showcase it’s abilities to the whole world.

Here are 3 inside stories picked up on from a 31 year old average Joe out in the middle of Utah:

# 1 – For this “grand celebration”, China spent $40 billion dollars. They built massive buildings and Olympic facilities that showcase their grandeur. Yet, despite this wonderful outward appearance, inside China is still the brutal punishing government of years past. China’s human rights record is NOT getting any better.

Here’s a simple example: In 2004, a businessman named Ye Guozhu had his home and restaurant pulverized to make room for the new Olympic venues. Ye chose to protest and applied for a permit to do so. The government charged him with “picking quarrels and stirring up trouble.” Can you believe that? Wait…..it gets better. Mr. Guozhu has been jailed for the past 4 years! Although his sentence was supposed to be over last Saturday, the Big Brother police took him from prison to another location. Big Brother said he is being “detained” for the benefit of the country until October 1st. How the heck did that happen?!?!

Strike 1 for the brutal treatment of Ye Guozhu and the thousands of others like him.

# 2 – Big Brother is dominating the atmosphere and has everyone on “lockdown”. China is making the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics, which occured immediately after 911, look like a walk in Lollipop land.

According to Kevin Wamsley, former director of the International Center for Olympic Studies at the University of Western Ontario, there is a gigantic difference in the security for the 2002 Salt Lake City winter games and Beijing.

“The security in Salt Lake City was more of a lockdown of Olympic facilities,” Wamsley said. “In Beijing the whole city is very, very deeply under scrutiny. It’s more of a Big Brother situation.” I was at the Salt Lake Olympics in 2002. I guarantee nobody razed a bulldozer through private property and homes to set up venues.

According to Zhou Yonghang, one of Big Brother’s bullies, (He’s the security chief of the communist party) the superior socialist system must be showcased to the world. He states, “We must give full play to the superiority of the socialist system and mobilize the great masses to wage a people’s war for the protection of Olympic Games security.”

Strike 2 for making China the world’s largest prison.

# 3 – Back in 1936 when Hitler’s Germany hosted the games, Hitler hoped to bring to light the “master race.” That ideal failed – and it failed horribly. The Chinese are hoping the world will see them and validate their version of Communism. And so far, it seems to be working. The USA and other nations, as of yet, have not had the capacity to tell Big Brother that repression, brute force, and Communism are not “okay.” George Bush is the perceived leader of the free world and what have we heard? *Chirp Chirp Chirp* How can the world simply ignore the vast injustices that occur there?

Oh that’s right. Money talks. And China has it. Lots of it. Like over $1.2 in US reserves. Can you hear that silence? *Chirp Chirp Chirp*

Which leads us to the wonderful International Olympic Committee. Ah yes, the wonderful I.O.C. Did they ever examine China’s human rights records? Ha! They could care less. Heck, the IOC are the fat cats who sold the games to a government so oppressive it makes Al Capone look like a pacifist. For 20 pieces of silver and a kiss, the IOC simply sold the games to the highest bidder. By doing so, they’ve allowed China propaganda to slowly set seed in the hearts of countrymen throughout the world.

Strike 3 to the I.O.C. for allowing China to host the games in the first place.

China – “You’re OUT!”
