As a kid, I grew up looking at spectacular Norm Rockwell paintings. I loved the painting book that my Mom used to have on her coffee table in the living room. That book was full of Norman Rockwell paintings. Pictures of Boy Scouts, American policeman, The Saturday Evening Post and Norman Rockwell painting himself, well, they all stand out in my memory.
You see, Norman Rockwell painted an era of grace and respect in the American era that has been replaced by corruption and greed. His paintings showcased love, respect and honor. Sometimes, I’m afraid those words are archaic in today’s society. Narcissism, irreverence and chaos seem to be in vogue now a days. Where is the painter in 2009 that presents the talents and capabilities that Norman Rockwell brought to the table?
Lew Rockwell, Llewellyn Rockwell of LewRockwell.com – he’s another American Icon. His sense of liberty, honest money and freedom would make Patrick Henry himself jump up and down with joy. According to his website, Lew Rockwell is a “former congressional chief of staff to Ron Paul and founder and chairman of the Ludwig Von Mises Institute. I’m really proud to follow the educational materials on Lew Rockwell’s website. I believe he has a tremendous amount of influence on younger generation Americans such as myself. He brings truth to the stage light and educates millions on the injustices and infallibility of the State. Lew Rockwell is an American icon. He’s passionate and if I were you, I’d do what I do – read LewRockwell.com every single day.
