Fight for the GOP: Ron Paul’s Liberty Tree vs. Sarah Palin’s Neocon Tea Party
Ever since Sarah Palin “endorsed” Rand Paul for Kentucky Senate a few weeks ago, the internet has been on fire with a Ron Paul Sarah Palin 2012 ticket. The problem is, these two go together like oil and water. Sarah Palin’s neocon tea party movement is no where close in principle to Ron Paul’s liberty tree movement. The fight for the GOP is on.
Check this quote out by Glenn Greenwald:
Glenn Greenwald is smacking home runs today on the hypocrisy of the Republicans, FoxNews, and movement conservatism when it comes to their recent “libertarianism.”
Listen to these 2 choice excerpts:
“This is what Republicans always do. When in power, they massively expand the power of the state in every realm. Deficit spending and the national debt skyrocket. The National Security State is bloated beyond description through wars and occupations, while no limits are tolerated on the Surveillance State. Then, when out of power, they suddenly pretend to re-discover their “small government principles.” The very same Republicans who spent the 1990s vehemently opposing Bill Clinton’s Terrorism-justified attempts to expand government surveillance and executive authority then, once in power, presided over the largest expansion in history of those very same powers. The last eight years of Republican rule was characterized by nothing other than endlessly expanded government power, even as they insisted — both before they were empowered and again now — that they are the standard-bearers of government restraint.”
“Neocons (who still overwhelmingly dominate the GOP) and Paul-led libertarians are arch enemies, and the social conservatives on whom the GOP depends are barely viewed with greater affection. Sarah Palin and Ron Paul are about as far apart on most issues as one can get; the ‘tea party movement’ can’t possibly be about supporting each of their worldviews.”
What do you think? Is Ron Paul and Sarah Palin principles and messages in direct conflict to one another?
I love Ron Paul so much I decided to make a YouTube clip of the Champion of the Constitution
I love Ron Paul so much I decided to make a YouTube clip of the Champion of the Constitution
What can I say? I have an admiration level for Ron Paul and his ability to stay focused on his policies and what he truly believes are the best interests for the American people. Ron Paul is an avid fan and follower of the Constitution. After all, he didn’t earn the nickname, “The Champion of the Constitution” for nothing.
I decided to make a 30 second clip of Ron Paul and put it on YouTube because I couldn’t hide my glee today when it was announced that Ron Paul became the 2010 CPAC winner. That’s right - the man who mainstream media has tried to marginalize for the past year is stronger than ever…. and the CPAC straw poll was simply a testament to that.
America is waking up from it’s deep hibernation. It’s no longer acceptable for politicians to say one thing and do another. Americans demand ACCOUNTABILITY. Americans demand that the Federal Reserve, a private banking institution, be audited and exposed. Americans demand that the Federal government stop behaving like the USSR police state and go back to the principles of freedom, liberty and honest money.
CPAC today was a showcase of the great awakening. Ron Paul is just the tip of the iceberg. More and more Liberty Candidates are arriving on the scene.
Deficit spending is not an option. Ponzi scheme Medicare and Social Security are eroding from within… and everyone can see it. It’s time America got back to the roots of its Founding Fathers. It’s time America became a free market again… without all the government red tape and bureaucracy holding it down.
Thank you Ron Paul for curing my apathy as well. I’ve never cared about politics until I learned about you. Now I’m hooked… and so are MILLIONS more like me.
You’re the MAN Ron Paul. May God bless you on this tremendous journey….
