The word “Hero” is used in so many different ways today. It symbolizes an individual with unique attributes and superstar powers. We look at Batman, Superman, Spiderman as comic book heroes. We want to emulate Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Brett Favre as sports heroes. We focus on Brittney Spears, Miley Cyrus and Tom Cruise as “Pop Culture” heroes.
As a former CFL football player, my heart especially goes out to the sports superstars. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Michael Strahan, Brian Urlacher – I look up to those guys because they are incredibly talented and have been solid and consistent in their desire to be “the best” in their athletic careers. Their hard work and dedication has shown through to America with flying colors. At the end of the day, however, I’m still longing for something “more” than just football.
Pop culture stars and comic book legends are simply entertainment. They are a shallow chasm of indifference to millions around the world. They’re not “hero’s”. They’re legends in their own minds!
Ron Paull, however, is a genuine true HERO. He puts the needs of this country first and foremost on his agenda. He cures apathy and drives people to action. How else can you draw over $5,000,000 in less than 24 hours? How else can you drive power hungry Mayor Giuliani to shame? Ron Paul has done “all that with a bag of chips”!
Right now, America is ailing. It’s hurt. The economy is in despair. Our military is spread too thin. Banks are going under. Unemployment is rising. Barrack O’Cain and the Republocrats want to offer the same system. They want to give us more of the same. More war. More inflation. More broken Federal Reserve. More government intervention. More Taxes. More crumbs!
Ron Paul wants to give us less war, more private enterprise, less taxes, less government intervention. He is a beacon of light! He is a TRUE HERO.

Merriam-Webster describes a HERO as thus:
1 a: a mythological or legendary figure often of divine descent endowed with great strength or ability b: an illustrious warrior
c: a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities d: one that shows great courage
2 a: the principal male character in a literary or dramatic work b: the central figure in an event, period, or movement
3: an object of extreme admiration and devotion
Ron Paul fits all of those credentials. He shows tremendous courage in his desire to truly change the system. AND IT’S WORKING!
