United States economy – How are we doing?

During the past 120 days, America has been through an economic nightmare.  The house of cards in 4th quarter 2008 came crashing down and now we’ve voted in the world’s favorite socialist – Barack Obama.

While Barack Obama has promised a “turn around” in the United States economy – I have to ask this question, “How are we doing?”

From all the main stream news media – we’ve hit the bottom and we’re recovering… however, is that really true?  I don’t feel like spending any money – do you?  I don’t feel like the economy is picking up – do you?  How much better off are we now than we were 10 years ago?

I’m afraid that the word to describe this whole economic mess is “STAGNANT”.  Is anything moving?  Credit is tight as lenders aren’t putting out capital.  Businesses are not spending as they’re waiting for things to turn around.  It seems like the USA is a sailboat in the middle of the lake with no wind.  No wind = no movement.  When will things start to pick up?

I’d like to think that I have some answers to that question.  Here’s when things will TRULY “pick up” and the United States will move back from being stagnant to being productive:

# 1 – Audit the Federal Reserve.  Once Americans really grasp and realize that the FED is a private banking institution that does NOT serve the publics best interest – there truly will be a revolution.

# 2 – Drop the IRS like a dirty diaper.  Nobody wants to carry a dirty diaper and all the stench that goes with it… why do we continue to allow the IRS to dictate tax law?

# 3 – Understand the “Proper Role of Government”

If America will take a stand on those 3 simple principles – when the question “how are we doing” comes up – we’ll all say in unison.  We’re doing wonderful!

The economy is truly ugly right now. Here I am just graduated Bachelors Degree and cannot find a job at all. I have been applying even the lowest job for me there is and nobody would even call me for interview. My student loans lenders are harrassing me already for their money. I cannot make any payment because I do not have a job yet, but they don’t understand that. I wanted to file a forbearance but the bank told me that I do not qualify because I do not have a job for sure within six months. They told me that if I can find a job then call them back and they might reconsider the forbearance. I am stressing out right now already. I thought that to get a degree will get me ahead for job offers but seems like I am going backwards.
